We recently bought a used outdoor table and 6 chairs off of trade me (again...just getting ready for summer!).... We got a pretty good bargain, but they need a LOT of work. I am in the process now of replacing all of the canvas pieces to the chairs (sewing, sewing, sewing...) and will then begin sanding down the wood and re-oiling it back into beauty :) That's the plan anyways.....

The table is currently living under our "carport" until I sand it down. It's a nice big size, perfect for dinner parties!

The chairs are, well, not usable at the moment. But are brimming with potential!! (Manuel's favorite phrase : "But don't you see how much potential they have!" )

I was burning the midnight oil last night trying to get the seats done. I bought some cool striped canvas at a fabric warehouse here that was having a 40% off sale! Perfect timing, I see :) Fortunately Pip, our flatmate, has a sewing machine that she has been kind enough to let me use.

Ta-
da!!!! The Before & After photo. Yes, this is the only complete chair so far....but the rest of the set is soon to follow! Dinner parties, here we come!
